Dr. Abdul has extensive experience in minimally invasive surgery and has so far performed a wide range of advanced laparoscopic procedures. For 8 years, Dr. Abdul worked in large teaching hospitals in the UK where he held several positions as a consultant general, oesophago-gastric and bariatric surgeon.

Dr. Abdul has a strong academic and scientific background with a doctorate thesis on the early detection of cancer, several research projects and publications and numerous lectures in national and international conferences in Britain. He has a special interest in how to avoid and treat complications after weight loss surgery and he recently co-authored a book titled "Bariatric Surgery: From indications to postoperative care".
Dr. Abdul believes that delivering safe and effective care to patients in general as well as patients undergoing weight loss surgery, in particular, requires a multi-professional team approach. This ensures that patients receive comprehensive support throughout their journey to recovery and helps them realize the full potential of their weight loss procedure.
